v0.5.0 ―●― Saturn Calling

Howdy Folks!

Just a small update with a feature that's been requested for a while: Ringed Planets! You can now make maps that can accurately distinguish Saturns from Jupiters. The ringed planet is available in the host shape dropdown. Thanks to itch user Edn for reminding me about this long- planned feature! I always appreciate people's requests since I have little insight into how people are actually using the generator. Let me know if there's any shapes you'd like to see added (though whatever I add will be kept in theme with the minimalist style).

In other news...

While I myself am a programmer by trade, my main hobby (and what most of my itch page is dedicated to), is Tabletop Roleplaying Games–specifically Sci-Fi ones. In fact, I originally created the Minimalist Solar System Generator to create maps for my home game and to include in my own published work. I know many of you reading this right now are also fans of SFRPGs and might be using the generator for your own games too.

If that's the case, you may be interested in the RPG I've spent literal years writing, working on, and playtesting: Drier Deserts, Hotter Suns! It's a sci-fi adventure game with a space-western twist that emphasizes fast paced and exciting ship-combat and lethal gunfights. Go check it out!
