v0.2.1 ● Download fixes, news and more

Howdy!

I've gone ahead and updated the Minimalist Solar System Generator with a quick bug fix. Thanks WOELOCK for the bug report!

Recently, I've been using the generator a lot as I've been making maps for my home TRPG campaign. As I've been using it directly for player maps, I found that having transparent background for all of the maps was more annoying than useful. Since I was fixing a download bug already, I've added the ability to toggle the transparent background when downloading. It's a nice QOL feature, I think.

Mini-Solar System Generator Out in the Wild!

It has been really exciting to see folks get their hands on the generator. People seem to really like it and that has me totally jazzed. If you use this generator in your project, I'd love to see what you make!

Shortly after launch, the Mini-Solar System Generator was featured in popular TRPG author and youtuber Ben Milton's newsletter, the Glastisant. Take a look! The Glatisant: Issue #52

More recently, Chris Air, creator of the RPG 5 Million Worlds, included a map they made in the generator in their excellent submission to the Sci-Fi One-Shot Jam 2024 entitled The Star's Lash. Definitely go check it, and the rest of Chris' work out!

(And while you are at it, check out my submission to the Sci-Fi One-Shot jam: The Sunsetting of Lutres 8!)
